Are your thoughts and the people around you weakening your drive to stay well and succeed?
According to Jim Rohn, Joe Dispenza and Marie Forleo, your thoughts and the people around you can affect your results.
Jim Rohn says you tend to be a product of the five people you surround yourself with the most. This begs the question of who are you hanging around? And for what purpose? It also begs the question of what can you do about it if you want to make a change in your life and ultimately your success?
Marie Forleo says “Whether you subscribe to this philosophy or not, it’s hard to deny that the people you spend the most time with do have an impact on you. They influence how you feel, what you believe, what you think about, and the decisions you make”.
Joe Dispenza from his book ‘Evolve Your Brain’ talks about how we can refocus ourselves in a heartbeat. He talks about those times when you shift your attention to outside influences, noises, people etc, you cause a power surge and voltage flux of electricity in millions of brain cells. So by modifying your awareness from what you are doing, to what others are saying or doing, you changed your brain, not only from what you were doing moments before, but what you will do moments later. As you refocus back on what you are doing you alter the blood flow to various parts of your brain and set off a cascade of impulses rerouting and modifying electrical currents to different brain areas. So by changing your focus you quite literally change your mind.
Now I believe that could work both ways. So when I was unwell with lupus, by changing my focus and the medical people around me, to people offering me hope and wellness, as long as I kept focus and took the appropriate action, I became well because that is what I was focused on neurologically.
In this present climate you could be on track with your goals and your wellness, and then change your focus to what others advise you to do and become unwell. Don’t you think this is fabulous stuff.
At the end of the day, it goes back to us being in control of us.
