Detoxing your mind and body this spring

September 10, 2019 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

Most people only think of the body when they think of detoxing. The mind is another great area to detox because it absolutely affects the way the body functions. Building up negative emotions over your lifetime and storing them can have catastrophic effects on the body because they are toxic.

Only you do stress. Nobody does stress for you.

Stress is one of the biggest concerns at this time of the year as our work life gets busier and our social activities build. Only you do stress. NOBODY does STRESS for you. Everyone is trying to get everything done before the school holidays or the end of the year deadlines, hence the extra pressure. Remember, most heart attacks are in school holidays because of stress and bad eating habits.

Magnesium crystals to bath in and breathing may assist this tremendously.

The predominant emotion for spring is anger and resentment, hence re-occurring problems in the chest, throat, or heart to head area if not cleared. As a coach, my clients are presenting the negative emotions of anger and resentment a lot for me to assist them to clear. Anger and resentment can build up around family, work or commitments. Take a breath and some time for you.

Spring represents ‘The wood element’ which is the liver and gallbladder meridians. Anger may also present when the liver is out of balance so doing a spring liver cleanse could be most beneficial. Spring affects our liver and gallbladder so avoid fatty foods. The condition of your liver reflects the condition of your whole body. Everything goes through the liver. Imagine your liver as a sponge that fills up with toxins unless flushed out periodically.

As well as the emotional upheaval in spring, dehydration can also occur as the air tends to be dryer. Dehydration can therefore affect the liver, lungs, skin and large intestine.

So keeping up your rehydration is paramount for the whole body including the liver.

Spring can present a chemical war to us. Not only is the air dryer, it may be full of a lot more chemicals as people prepare their lawns and gardens for the spring and summer ahead. These chemicals are extremely toxic, especially if your immune system is low. As well as the chemicals you have the winds blowing the pollens around creating sinus and hayfever.

Echinacea is great for an immune system boost.

Taking care of your immune system at this time of the year will lessen your reaction to these natural phenomenon.

Good grief and stress relief

August 11, 2019 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

People do stress relief and grief therapy very differently, so as a coach, I don’t follow a template because I believe stress and grief can be dealt with in many ways.

Many times we go through stress and grief because of experiences that we don’t have control over. Imagine the impact of catastrophic events like earthquakes and tsunamis that affect a whole county.

Sometimes, experiences are more personal like death. A few years back, I had six people die in a matter of months, including my mum and my dog.

As a coach, I help my clients deal with separation, loss or grief through therapy. I find this helps people who feel unresolved about the loss of or separation from their pet or person and when they feel they did not get a chance to say everything they wanted to say.

Grief and Separation Therapy is not designed for people who have recently lost someone, as grief is important as is expressing your emotions. This therapy is for those people who hang on to grief and would like to move on.

There are four main reasons why a person may want to do that according to Pip McKay from Evolve Now Mind Institute.

  1. They may feel that if they loved the person or pet, then they need to continue to grieve for them. They may feel they have betrayed them if they stop. In their mind GRIEF = LOVE.
  2. It’s important to note that Grief does not = Love. Grief = Pain. When we feel pain at a memory of a loved one, it interferes with our ability to remember the person or pet with love and celebrate their life or time with us. Pip McKay goes on to say that when we cannot speak about the pet or person because we may cry, that this type of grief interferes with our love, our respect, and our ability to honour the person’s or pet’s memory.
    LOVE=LOVE
    RESPECT=RESPECT
  3. Think about this, if you had died wouldn’t you want the people in your life get on with their life and be happy? If someone dies, they also want you to be happy. Not getting on with your life may not be respecting their wishes. You will always have the great memories to remind you of the time you shared.
  4. If you feel that the person or pet has gone to a better place and are in fact now happier because of spiritual beliefs, then you may see that the grief is for yourself and not for the person or pet, thus making it a little easier to let it go and for you to heal.

I think it’s important to understand that everyone of us is unique and the way we deal with grief or separation is also unique. For many years I looked after international students and so I have spoken with people who chose to come out to Australia and leave all their family behind. How they all coped was very different. The stages they went through varied immensely.

Grief or separation is unique and if you feel you require some assistance to get through some grief or separation please call me on 612418960366 or email me on lynda@mindpowerglobal.com.au

We offer both coaching and courses. Also, the Good Grief What a Wonderful Life I had is on sale now and will be in ebook form very soon. Just click here for your copy https://mindpowerglobal.com.au/good-grief-book

Love is the answer

August 11, 2019 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

What I gave my father throughout his life and especially in this final few months of his life came from pure LOVE. This was driven by my values around family.

We are born so pure and innocent. We are born from a reunion of love. So why is it that for some reason, so many people feel that we need to be told what we are not good at or that we require changing? I believe we just need to be loved and guided.

Not only is this about loving others, but loving who we are as adults, carers, teachers, trainers and parents because we influence so many people through the way we think and act. Whether we believe it or not the ‘Law of Attraction’ works. If we put out love, we attract more love back.

Joe Dispenza, in his book on ‘Evolve your Brain’ (page 409), says “the brain chemistry of love is completely different from the chemistry we all produce in survival mode. The love potion released in the midbrain creates bonding. By falling in love with our ideal, we are chemically bonding with a new version of ourselves”.

When we are in love, nothing seems as important as that love. Imagine building all the new synaptic connections (pathways) in the brain from a place of love. Children are the happiest when they are young and playful and feel loved. So why does that change when we get older?

So if you want to emanate love, see children and adults in your life as perfect beings – see yourself as a perfect being. How often do you talk negatively about yourself? Do you see people in your life doing the same thing?

It is easy for a person who habitually focuses negative feelings for themselves to repeat this pattern because it is wired in their neural network, it has an emotion stuck to, or they get more attention.

Take small steps to help yourself and others get out of feeling ‘less than’. One tip I can give you: ask great questions.

When you find yourself or someone saying negative things about themselves, ask:

“What else am I? or What else are you?”

You don’t have to be a coach to do this. As carers, parents, friends, siblings, teachers, and colleagues, we can do our bit to help highlight what someone is excellent at. For example, your child may be feeling down because he wasn’t picked for the soccer team. Focus on what he’s good at: “I bet you are great at reading, or playing or singing etc.”.

Some times retraining someone to see things differently and create a more positive loving picture of themselves is not easy because there is a limited reference for them to go back to.

Our frontal lobe has to create that new picture and the person will then attach a new emotion to it. Repeating this new picture will help someone create a new loving image about them and send love out in the process. Using great questions can help you build this new picture.

I think being self-centred is a good thing. When I first learnt this, it was so far out of my comfort zone, it was uncomfortable. When you think about it, being self-centred is about ourselves lovingly and positively. Many children are taught to stop thinking about themselves. I think we should encourage children to think about themselves kindly and positively.

How can we do this?

Stand in front of a mirror and talk to your reflection about what is great about you. Many times, we always look at ourselves and think of everything that we could improve on.

Get your kids to see themselves in a whole new light by encouraging them to do this.

Love is the answer. Loving you, loving what you do and loving everyone around you. It’s calming, empowering and allows everyone to be in control of their own lives and responsible for their own feelings, actions and beliefs.

The universe wants you to love you. You were created as a pure loving being. Let’s get back to that reality. What a joy that would be.

The Purpose of Autumn

March 16, 2019 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

Cyclones up north, heatwaves and fires down south all combine to confuse us about seasonal change.  Sometimes it’s hard for us to get a concept of being in autumn when we continue to have such warm days around the country. Don’t you just love this time of the year where it’s not too hot, or too cold and you can eat amazing salads on the warmer days and nourishing soups and warm foods on the cooler days? Autumn is a time for nurturing, building, and supporting your organs for the cold change ahead so you may like to keep that in mind as you prepare your food for the day and week ahead. I find that the herb Echinacea could be your best friend at this time of the year to keep your immune system healthy and keep those nasty colds and flues away that quite often occur in the change of seasons. Of course there are a lot of fantastic products out there that are brilliant for keeping those sinus areas cleaned out and moving the mucus through the chest and bowel. Take care of you this autumn.

Emotions that go with the Autumn Seasons

The Law of Rhythm tells us that there are ups and downs in life just like there are 4 seasons in one year. In order to prepare our immune system for the winter months ahead we may look to not only add great nourishing soups and stews to our diet, but to also clear out unwanted emotions that may be blocking us from a clear road ahead. The emotions that show up commonly in Autumn are Grief and Sadness. This is interesting because those emotions are usually stored in the chest area. By clearing any Grief or Sadness now you may find that you have a ‘Flue Free’ winter ahead. I am happy to assist you to do this.

Healing Your Immune System Naturally?

March 16, 2019 by Lynda Dyer 1 Comment

With one in every two people suffering from some type of autoimmune disorder, and more research and knowledge about how the body heals itself naturally available to us now, how is this possible that we have this problem? 100 million people in the USA alone have, or are predisposed to have late onset diabetes which is now considered an autoimmune problem and is, for the most part, reversible.

That is why I have written my latest book ‘Healing Your Immune System …Naturally’ because I am living proof that we can heal ourselves when we have the knowledge and make the decision to do so. In the last 5 years I have gathered so much information and I am sharing that information in this book so you can make whatever changes you want to make to your health. Of course everything is a choice.

Let me share with you the Introduction to the book here:

Autoimmune disease is the imbalance of the immune system. I have come to understand from my research that it is possible that one in every two people have, in fact an autoimmune related disorder. This imbalance is now recognized as presenting in over 80 plus types of disorders. It is time to find out what is going on and how can we proactively get and stay well by choosing a healthier daily diet and lifestyle.

Jonathon Otto, in his latest ‘Autoimmune Secrets,’ series with over 20 professional contributors, states that; “Some of the 80 plus types of autoimmune diseases include; diabetes, depression, dementia, rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s, eczema, and lots of other disorders stem from an unwell immune system.” The research also talks about the new drugs used to fight these numerous immune disorders and how these drugs could possibly create an autoimmune disorder making the person even more unwell.

I have come to understand that the wellness of humans is a cellular issue. While I am not ignoring the onslaught of the external and internal triggers such as; parasites, mold, pharmaceuticals, genetic expression, fatty liver, leaky gut, mental and emotional stressors to name a few, Today, there is  so much more information, research and science available on Epigenetics, DNA and the human cells; how they function, communicate, become unwell, duplicate or die.

I felt compelled to write this book and update the information that I first introduced in my book, ‘Life After Lupus …Healing Your Immune System.’ How blessed are we that we have so much more information to draw from particularly in the last five years?

Dr. Gary L Samuelson states in his book, ‘The Science of Healing Revealed,’ Published as recently as 2009 that “More and more emerging science is showing that daily diet and lifestyle is absolutely essential for maintaining good health and avoiding potential health problems. Eating natural, non-processed foods and minimizing the use of drugs might not be so popular with the convenience-based food and drug markets, but it will help us maintain good health and is based on science that is becoming very popular with knowledgeable professionals.” Dr. Samuelson goes on to report that, “Gradually the paradigm is shifting and health and nutritional markets are following. We owe it to ourselves to search out and make available the latest advances in medical science and to use this knowledge to our greatest advantage.”

With this new medical research, knowledge and findings, you can absolutely make a choice to proactively live a healthier lifestyle. By choosing to be more aware of your own body and overall health, you too can become healthier, more energized and happier over all. In fact, I suggest that you are likely to live a longer life in a more productive and well state. I am not offering you anything more than what I am doing to myself. I had an autoimmune disease for more than 14 years. Today, I am well and continue to stay well because I am encouraged the more I research the Immune System the more excited I get about the possibilities of continued wellness. Now it’s time to share my learnings with you so you are empowered to make better lifestyle choices for yourself.

I obviously cannot bring ALL the new research here in one update however; I will do my best to bring you the most recent research on the subject of healing your immune system naturally.  I have also included many great contacts that I have discovered along my own personal journey, so that you can pursue what may work for you.

Kids can use their Eyes to access their Memory.

January 1, 2019 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

Get Your Kids and Yourself Switched on for 2019 by teaching them how to Use Their Brains Filing Systems with Their Eyes.

In my 8th International Best Selling Book ‘Create Confident Kids’ I wrote about the importance of ‘IMAGINATION’. Here is a snipet of what I said.

I was again asked on the weekend to look into a child’s eyes to see why they are having some difficulty at school recalling. Most of these children are actually very bright but do not find it easy to recall information and let their teachers or parents know. This may leave them with a reputation not totally applicable to who they really are. They are unaware of how to access their information using various eye patterns. This often can be attributed to inability to read or spell hence the name dyslectic.

So what does an Eye Pattern mean? You may have heard that the eyes are the windows of the soul. Well what that is saying is that we store information in our brain in filing cabinets. We are actually organised beings. The eyes can access each of these filing cabinets once you know where everything is stored and how to move the pupil of your eye to that area. I found this fabulous not only for myself, as my memory now is excellent, but for everyone I meet because they tell me so much with their eyes. So let me draw a picture that may assist you first.

Eye Patterns

We can use our eyes to access all our brains filing cabinets whether we are recalling, constructing, checking our feelings on a subject or accessing our accounts. We may not be aware of that. Once we learn how to do that and practice that we realise we have a great memory or ability to recall.

The confusion often happens with children in a family where one parent is left handed. The child may also be exposed to a left handed grandparent as their carer or significant other. I want to make it very clear that left handed people are wonderful and many of our super stars in sport and many other fields are in fact left handed. However when a left handed child copies a right handed person’s eye patterns, it can have them unable to recall information correctly. Many of these children, I believe are miss-diagnosed by the school and or teacher as having a learning disorder.

The problem may be though that the left handed person files their information in exactly the opposite way to a right handed person. So, if you are a right handed child and you model your eye patterns on a left handed carer then you may be a little confused as to where you access your information. That is why we can make dramatic changes to a child’s learning and recalling in such a short time. We simply check out their eye patterns by asking a few questions and teach them to look in the recall area until it becomes a new and exciting habit. They can move out of “special” classes into regular or even accelerated classes very quickly.

Imagine working with your child for 10 minutes a day and they now get 100% in spelling? I was teaching a boy from Uganda who is out here in Australia. I showed him how to access his brains filing system for his spelling words. He loved this so much his confidence grew every time I visited him. One day he forgot to bring his spelling list so I suggested he may like to go up to his visually recall section with his eyes and tell me what words he was given. He not only remembered every word, he then got to spell them correctly. This is very exciting for a child of any age. Then we worked on his maths while he looked down into his “fact” file where auditory digital sits. His progression was exciting. With 10 minutes a day practice this is an easy skill to practice and can change the child dramatically.

Most children with learning difficulties are looking into their construction filing system to recall and wondering why they don’t recall anything. It may also explain why these children always want to create, draw and colour because that is where they access most of their information and can express themselves this way.

There are some simple questions you could ask to find out where your child is looking. Make sure your child is relaxed. Some of those questions may include:

  • What was the colour of your first toy? Room?   This flushes out their visual recall pattern
  • What would your toy or room look like if it was painted purple?    This flushes out their visual construct pattern
  • What was the sound of your first pet when you were growing up?    This flushes out their auditory recall pattern
  • What would mummy sound like if she spoke like Daffy Duck?       This flushes out their auditory construct pattern
  • Do you know your 2 times tables?  This flushes out their auditory digital pattern
  • What did it feel like for you over Christmas, or your last holiday etc? This flushes out their feelings

You can make up a list of questions to suit your child. You may only need to ask a couple to see where they take their eyes. You can actually work out if a child is right or left handed before they pick up a pen simply by looking at their eye patterns. Most children who use both hands tend to have left handed eye patterns. Those children forced to write right handed even though they are born left handed have reversed eye patterns.

The work I have also done with ADHD Children also allows me to look at where these children look. They usually access their kinaesthetic or “feeling” section of their brain as all the ADHD children I have worked with to date represent the world through their feelings. That is why they are often looking down, wanting to touch others or sit on laps, do not respond to talking or looking as they do not hear or see what you hear or see. This is why you can simply touch them and they will come to the table or help you clean their room. They love hugs and therefore do not always get their needs met in a “touchless” school system.

Over 30 children have decided with their parents to come off the drugs and with nutritional supplementation in the form of magnesium, essential fatty acids and sometimes Brahmi, and a little help in showing them how to access various areas in their brain, they do not need to go back on this drug. Hair samples have shown common deficiencies in minerals, especially magnesium.

The best time to do this is the school holidays. It can take days for the drug to leave their system and they tend to increase their eating and thus growth is inevitable because this is also suppressed when on the drugs.

Can Heart Conditions contribute to Auto Immune Disease or is it the Other Way Around?

November 16, 2018 by Lynda Dyer Leave a Comment

In researching the latest material for my updated ‘Healing Your Immune System’ Book I came across this fabulous research from Dr Jack Wolfson, who is a Cardiologist. He had been approached by a Natural Therapist about all the drugs he was using for his Cardiac Patience. Well he actually started to listen to what she was saying and, after some time and a lot of consideration, he decided to offer his patience nutrition advice AND supplements to assist them in healing their heart condition.

Because of the results he was getting, he began documenting his findings in articles and books. Some of his findings were:

  • Leaky Heart Syndrome can be a cause for Auto-Immune Disease
  • Some Heart Medications can actually contribute to Auto-Immune Disease
  • Diet changes improved heart disease and overall health

He summarised his findings by saying that:

  • Cardiovascular Disease is preventable without drugs
  • Diagnosed Heart Disease is often Auto-Immune Disease
  • Hypertension is often Auto-Immune Disease
  • Atrial Fibrillation is often Auto-Immune Disease
  • Some medications actually created the Auto-Immune Disease.
  • Some side effects of blood pressure tablets were fatigue, memory loss, constipation

He then went on to say that many of the pills used for Heart Disease could actually be killing people. He continues by saying that “We need to get to the cause of the Leaky Heart.

He realised that Leaky Gut leads to Leaky Heart leads to Leaky Brain.

Blood vessels of the arteries are similar. He found that these three supplements may reverse cardiac condition in 90 days.

  • CoQ10
  • Vitamin K1 and K2 inside the cells can reverse cardiac disease
  • Krill oil

Of Course we know that Exercise, Meditation, and Low Sugar diets all contribute to a better Auto-Immune System and thus less Cardiac and Gut problems. The great thing about the low sugar diet is that it also relates to the lowering of any infections, and any parasites in your system as they love sugar. Processed foods and especially carbohydrates, that convert to sugar or fat, often have toxic oils in them, together with the excess sugar or fat so the body is going to inflame creating an Auto-Immune nightmare.

As you can see I could go on here. I think it may be best if I continue in the next Newsletter. If you want more information come to the Seminar on November 27 called:

One in Two People in Australia have an Auto-Immune System Problem ….. Are you one of them?
