Put yourself into your book. Tell it as it really is. If it’s not the truth with the raw emotions of what really went on then people will put the book down and your referrals will stop. People like to laugh and cry with you when they read your book. People want to know HOW you did something rather than being told you did something.
Presell your book as you are writing it. Let people and organisations know about your book as you put pen to paper. You can say you are the author of the forthcoming book titled ……..
Professional editors are the best option as you will be surprised at the changes a professional editor can make of your work. Having it edited by two editors is best.
Publish your book with a reputable publisher that offers the full package of getting it noticed on Amazon and other reputable outlets so you get the awards and the exposure you and your book deserve. I self-published my first book and it sat in the garage for years. A professional publisher took it and put it through her networks and in 48 hours it was a best seller in two categories and has been distributed all over the world.
Print your book through the publisher to get the best bulk rates
I will be running ‘Bootcamp for Book Writers’ in 2015. If this is of interest to you please let us know.
