When I was coming home from Canada the USA Border Police pulled me over and wouldn’t let me through the border because they could not get a significant reading on their finger print machine. This has never happened in my life before so I asked what the problem was. They told me my hands were so dry they could not get a decent fingerprint. OMG. I was put in the ‘naughty’ corner for a while until they realised I was not going to be a concern for them….too funny!!!!
Anyway, since then my feet have started to crack underneath and this also has never happened before. So I talked with my Naturopath and together we worked out that this DRY WEATHER that we have been having continually is actually affecting us internally, and therefore externally.
Let me explain… as it’s a lot more than just drinking more water. In these drier climates and times of the year we may find that we have a dehydrated system internally. In particular, both spring and autumn are classic times for dehydration, and our bodies show this especially in the bowel area. A sluggish bowel can affect not only what we release, but what we are absorbing along the way. We may find we are a little more bloated this time of the year and need to be kinder to our bowel in what we are putting into it. Wheats, some rice, pasta and foods that don’t suit your system can react immediately and clog up a somewhat sluggish, dry system.
I also found that I required more GOOD FATS for the gall bladder to be happier. Those good fats can come in the form of nuts, avocado, salmon fish, eggs, peanut butter, olive oil coconut, flaxseeds, almond butter and my favourite …dark chocolate.
Then I discovered that the lack of silica could be to blame. Silica is a mineral found in our soils. The problem is Australia has the lowest levels of silica in the world so supplementation is the key here. While I take Silica in my liquid minerals it may not be enough for this time of the year.
So what does Silica do? Well guess what. It assists in the production of collagen and so when your silica is low your production of collagen is also low hence the dry skin, lack of muscle strength, hair and nail condition etc. COLLAGEN is required in every area of the body and is the best anti-ager on the market place today. So I ordered my Liquid Collagen yesterday and it arrives today.
This is what I am going to do:
- I am going to the Naturopath tomorrow and getting a LIVE BLOOD test so we can see the effects of what is happening now.
- Then I am going to begin taking the liquid collagen from tomorrow night
- I am going to increase my liquid minerals to get more silica into my body to help the absorption of calcium and the making and working of collagen.
- I am going to get more good fats into my system to improve the function of the gall bladder
- I am going to make sure I drink 3 litres of water every single day
What would you like to do now knowing that most of us are walking around with low levels of silica, low levels of collagen and basically a dehydrated system?
