It’s Autumn time and Detoxing is a NATURAL process of the body so lets learn how we can assist the body to do this process. I am presently detoxing my body, my mind, and my business so I will be crystal clear and MOVE FORWARD WITH FAITH in 2012.
Detoxification of the Body
What is Detoxification?
X If you do not do this then you will expect to attract
Fluid Retention and Fatigue
Circulation, Cardiac concerns and Cancer
Acidity and Arthritis
Irritability, Irritable bowel and Infections
Nervous problems including Depression
Doesn’t the body detox naturally??? YES …..until at such times that the body is incapable of doing so. In the course of us eating and digesting foods, we produce a certain amount of acid. We get rid of small amounts of these acids rapidly via the lungs but denser acids that are generated by the breaking down of animal protein, are eliminated slowly by the kidneys. If the acids are not eliminated quickly enough it causes toxicity.
The results of the complex digestive tract secretions, under different pH, is ultimately the breakdown of food into nutrients for our body to use. However if the pH in one section of the gut is wrong, the digestive process is impaired and fats, sugars and proteins are only partially broken down. The food then putrefies in the gut and a Pathogenic flora develops to the detriment of the beneficial flora. This also creates toxicity in the body.
Undigested animal protein is often found in the blood stream of people with immune disorders.
Acids that are not eliminated during the day are stored in extra cellular fluid in the peritoneum. At night, while the body is resting the acids are disposed of. Over a period of time these acids build up in the tissues causing more toxins or ACIDITY.
We know that this ACIDITY is the basis of most diseases. We also know that when your body is acidic you only have 10% oxygenated blood so you feel fatigued all the time and, if left unchecked can become depression (anger turned inward) for some and/or diseases for others.
This ACIDITY can then produce a variety of symptoms besides fatigue, like disturbed sleep, regurgitation of foods, heartburn, diarrhoea or constipation, migraine, bad breath, lowered resistance to infection, muscle pain, bronchitis/asthma, and excess mucous which feeds parasites.
We all know that there has been an increase in heart disease, cancers and all auto-immune disorders such as chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus in the last 50 years. They are discovering that these diseases are linked more and more to food processing and preserving methods and the excessive consumption of refined sugar, cereals, oils, meat, dairy and animal fats. The use of hormones, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, insecticides and the like all contribute to the build up of toxins in the food chain. A detoxification program can facilitate the rapid and efficient elimination of toxins and can improve both the short and long term health. The detoxification plan that I follow combines diet and exercise with nutritional supplements that detox both specific areas of the body and general detoxification.
There are numerous options for you to undertake here however if we look at a three-day per month program together with a specific detox plan for the area of the body you want to address then the benefits are amazing. It’s like spring-cleaning out a space for the good nutrition to follow.
THREE DAY DETOX DIET
Breakfast: Warm fruit
Lunch: Steam vegetables (as many as you like avoiding potato/peas/corn)
Dinner: Steam Vegetables (organic root and green vegies preferred)
Warm water must be drunk in between to enhance this program.
The body is 38 degrees so warmth is essential for the effective cleaning of the cells.
This diet can be taken over 5 days also if more cleaning is required.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
The joints may ache as the parasites are removed. This means that the detox program is effective.
A dramatic increase in urination could occur on the last day as the body releases the fluid not now required to digest fats as none have been eaten in the last 3/5 days. You may experience mild headaches, bursts of energy alternating with fatigue, muscle aches and pains, sudden hunger, craving for sweet foods, intestinal gas and some irritability. These are most common in the first 48 hours and are different for every person. They are worth going through for the end result.
You may notice that your energy levels, appetite and quality of sleep are improving.
To accelerate the detoxification process and reap the benefits, try to avoid foods that created the need for detoxification in the first place like dairy, wheat based products, high salty foods, over indulgence of meat and animal fat, coffee, white sugars, sweets, alcohol and tobacco. Reintroduce these products very slowly if you must include them in your eating plan. If you do reintroduce them, monitor your symptoms and eliminate if necessary.
Keep up the 2litres of water per day. You can add herbal teas to the water for variety and continual cleansing. Include blueberries and the Papaya family as fruits everyday, especially in the morning to continue with the natural elimination process.
Eat fish at least twice per week and include more rice and vegetables. Substitute sweets for figs and nuts (almonds, brazil nuts and walnuts)
Exercise is a vital part of your daily routine and not just something that you add to speed up detoxification.
