Recently I fell over, walking in the dark to the beach. I grazed my right knee quite badly and my two hands from landing on the pavement. It’s what I did after that that I would like to talk about. I remember years ago when I was working with Dr Shan Visavalingham, and we were lecturing on Health around Australia. We learnt so much from each other.
One day we came across a man who had very bad ulcers in the bottom of his legs. He was finding them really hard to heal because he had diabetes. That day we prepared a mixture that was astonishing to many, but it worked a real treat. We got a very heavy antioxidant that has slow release benefits and crushed it up. We put the tiniest amount of water with it to make it into a paste and put it onto the ulcers. We then bandaged his legs so the antioxidant could help him heal. He was instructed to take the anti-oxidant internally as well. Within 48 hours the results were amazing. It was up to him to keep the process going.
Then a woman came to my house in Sydney and she had a nasty infected bite on her foot from going overseas. She put her foot up on my kitchen bench. I was disgusted at first then I realised I could offer her the same advice. We made up a paste of crushed anti-oxidant and put it all over her wound. We bandaged it and she repeated the process daily for three days until it was gone. She also took the anti-oxidant internally as well. She was shocked to say the least.
Then I had a poisoned blood stream from a cut on my leg and I actually went blue around my mouth. I phoned Dr Shan and he suggested taking an anti-oxidant on the hour to remove the poison. I did that and I was back teaching at TAFE with my leg bandaged and up on the desk within days.
I have used this method on many occasions now including in my recent knee and hand wounds. Within two weeks my knee is almost completely healed, my hands are completely healed and I am back doing aquafitness again. So I thought it important enough to share with you.
So what are Anti-oxidants and what are the Sources?
Most of antioxidants come from plants and include vitamins A, C and E and carotenoids such as beta-carotene, minerals, phenolic compounds and other natural chemicals with antioxidant properties. Flavonoids are another powerful antioxidant and are contained in red wine and tea.
While it’s believed that eating a variety of natural foods – fruits, vegetables, cereals, legumes, nuts, seeds and wholegrains – may be the best way to supply your body with antioxidants. I have found that supplementing my body with an anti-oxidant every day assists the daily detoxing of the unwanted free radicals and chemicals to be removed and I can nutrify more readily.
- Beta-carotene – orange foods such as carrots, pumpkin, apricots, sweet potatoes and some leafy greens such as kale.
- Lutein – green, leafy vegetables such as spinach.
- Lycopene – tomatoes, watermelon, papaya.
- Selenium – rice and wheat.
- Vitamin A – carrots, sweet potato, milk, egg yolks.
- Vitamin E – almonds, vegetable oils, mangoes, nuts, broccoli.
- Vitamin C – available in many fruits and vegetables such as parsley, broccoli, berries, oranges, cauliflower, kale.
A Great Anti-Oxidant Supplement May Contain
It’s not just what an anti-oxidant contains, but if the ingredients work synergistically together to assist in the healing and the detoxing process within your system. I believe that although our bodies should detox naturally, we are exposed to so many more free radicals today. We may therefore require some assistance in this natural detoxing process. I found what I believe to be the best anti-oxidant in the world today. It actually works while I sleep, unless I need it for other extraneous circumstances as mentioned above. Check out the Modere website for more information. I did and this is what it said………
- A super enriched supplement formulated specially as a powerful free radical scavenger.
- Works with your body’s natural systems to help remove excess free radicals.
- The science bit: as a free radical scavenger, it counteracts the effects of free radical oxygen molecules by giving up an electron, effectively neutralising the potentially damaging molecule.
This diverse and powerful blend of fat and water-soluble antioxidants works in all areas of your body, supporting your cells’ defences. You might think you’re too young to need antioxidants, but the truth is everybody young and old is under constant attack by cell-component-destroying free radicals and can benefit from an antioxidant boost.
